Flash Error Technical Solutions


  • Close Unnecessary Programs
  • Shut off All Anti-virus Programs
  • Check if Your Operating System is Current
  • Update your browser
  • Uninstall Your flash player
  • Reinstall your Flash Player

The Flash error you're experiencing could be due to a bug in your Flash player. We have a few troubleshooting suggestions that we believe can fix the issue for you.

Close Unnecessary Programs
Leaving programs such as Microsoft Word or Powerpoint, photo or video editing software, chat programs or having multiple browser tabs open can cause your computer to use a lot of memory. Closing the programs or websites that you are no longer looking at can save your computer memory and let it focus on your current task.

Shut off All Anti-virus Programs

Check if Your Operating System is Current
Your operating system is't he most important system that your computer is running. Operation System's such as Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Linux, Mac and mobile are what allows your computer and phone to function during day-to-day tasks.

To find your current Operating System please follow the instructions below:

Windows
Right-click My computer and select Properties
From System Properties, click the General tab. Your Operating System is located int he top right hand corner.

Mac
From the Apple menu, select About This Mac.

The resulting window displays your Operating system. This example is using Mac OS X 10.6.8


Update Your Browser
Google Chrome
Updates are available if there is a small arrow located on the wrench icon in your browser toolbar.

Select Update Google Chrome.
In the confirmation dialogue that appears, click Restart.

Mac
From the Chrome Menu, select About Google Chrome.

The resulting window displays your current version and gives you the option to update.


Mozilla Firefox
The update default is set to automatically update.
To manually update Firefox:
Windows
Click Firefox at the upper left hand corner of the browsing window.

The About Firefox window opens and begins checking for updates. If an update is available, it is automatically downloaded and installed.


Mac
From the Firefox Menu, select About Firefox.

The resulting window displays your current version and gives you the option to update.


Uninstall your Flash Player

Go to the Adobe Flash Player site to download the latest flash player.
